Pakistan is a country which owes much to the business community in its making. The founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah appealed to business community during Pakistan movement as well as after its founding. Of course the business community helped strengthen the national economy but unfortunately business people were never appreciated, encouraged and painted as the real heroes of Pakistan. Instead they were portrayed as villain in our literature and movies. Despite all we want a strong national economy. How can we achieve this target? This is really a million dollar question. In our country we need to let our people know that business is extremely important to a country's economy because businesses provide both goods and services and jobs. According to Business News Daily corporate social responsibility (CSR) is “a business practice that involves participating in initiatives that benefit a society.” We must keep in our minds that small and large businesses drive economic stability and growth by providing valuable services, products and tax money that directly contribute to the health of the community. They also provide jobs, strengthening the economic health of each community where a business is based.
